ClearSkin by Alma Lasers, Harmony XLPRO platform is the first technology to combine a non-ablative laser with simultaneous contact cooling and vacuum technology to treat all forms of acne vulgaris including papules, pustules, and nodules, while also achieving a gentle rejuvenating effect, diminishing the appearance of acne scars by stimulating collagen renewal.

How does it work?

The non-ablative laser works by raising temperature of the treatment area in a controlled manner while penetrating into deeper layers of the skin. This thermal effect targets the sebaceous glands to destroy the ‘P.acnes bacteria’ and effectively reduce sebum production, and this is done without damaging the outer skin tissue or epidermis.

Once the skin is prepared, the vacuum-assisted cooled laser hand-piece is placed on the skin to start the acne treatment. With each pulse, the integrated vacuum mechanism first gently lifts the skin to bring it closer to extract the sebaceous material from the pores and deliver the non-ablative laser light, scientifically tailored to cause the destruction of unhealthy skin infiltrates, bacteria and micro organisms. Simultaneous contact cooling protects the skin, reducing pain and allowing for safer and more effective treatment.

The treatment is suitable for all skin types, has no side effects and achieves a smoother complexion with lasting effect.

Is it painful?
The hand-piece works by combining multiple mechanisms, non-ablative laser light, vacuum and contact cooling, in a coordinated sequence to deliver an effective treatment while keeping the patient comfortable.

How many treatments will I require?
The course of 5 sessions, one treatment every 2 weeks, and maintenance treatment every month is recommended until the desired result is achieved.
