Acne Treatment

The Theraclear is unique light technology used primarily in Dermalase for the treatment of acne, hyper-pigmentation and rosacea. The unique feature with Theraclear is that it combines vacuum technology with light therapy for maximum results.

What happens during the Theraclear treatment?

The skin is prepared with Nimue skin products to enhance results. The vacuum setting on the Theraclear system is passed over problematic areas to clean the pores and to draw the target closer to the surface so the laser can effectively treat the skin. After this has been done, the laser is used to target either the excess melanin, if the problem is pigmentation, or bacteria if acne is present. After the laser therapy, a peel is carried out, then the skin is treated with Nimue products specific to the skin condition.

How does the treatment feel?

The treatment is quite comfortable throughout although some discomfort may be felt from the laser. This is not unbearable but it can feel a little hot on the skin. The laser tip is constantly being cooled to make the treatment as pleasant as possible. Afterwards, the skin may feel a little tingly but refreshed and glowing.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on the severity of the case. However, usually, a course of 5 treatments is recommended.
